// Bikes, beer and low bridges, that's what I will remember Copenhagen for. Copenhagen is a really cute city with its beautiful buildings, canals and boats and I think it's a great weekend getaway alternative for example for Stockholm. I can imagine myself going back to the Danish capital sometime in the future.

On our first night we left our luggage to the hotel and went to dinner to Nyhavn. The atmosphere in Nyhavn is lovely, I could've spent a moment and another under the terrace heaters sipping on white wine and listening to the busker. Our hotel was just a short walk away from Nyhavn so we had dinner there on our second night too. We stayed at the hotel WakeUp Copenhagen and we were both very happy with it! The quality-price ratio was very good and it's located right in the centre of the city.

On our second day we rented bikes from the hotel and rode them around the city. Personally I think riding a bike was probably the best thing in Copenhagen and I recommend it to everyone who visits the city! Copenhagen is definitely designed for bikes and it's easy to pedal from one place to another. We cycled to the Little Mermaid and after that we headed to the city centre to do some shopping. The shopping street is covered in cobblestones though, so it was more comfortable to walk with the bikes there and it was a lot easier too when we had to constantly stop to visit another store. I didn't do a lot of shopping but I brought a few things home with me, but that's another post ;)

Canal tour and Tivoli were on my Copenhagen bucket list and we did both on our last day. You'll get to experience the city from a totally different perspective from a boat compared to biking or walking and that's why I recommend going on a canal tour in Copenhagen. At times it was actually quite scary to go under the bridges as some of the holes were so narrow and low, but every time the boat floated through :D Before heading to the airport we went to Tivoli for a couple of hours. We didn't go to any rides as they charge for the entrance itself, but anyway we wouldn't have had the patience to queue. The warm and sunny Saturday had made a few other people to visit Tivoli too and it was quite crowded. Anyway the atmosphere was good and it was lovely to feel the warm rays of sunshine on my face.

All in all our mini holiday was very successful and even though we experienced some mishaps I will definitely go on a holiday with my mum another time!
