Summer Beauty Haul

Tänä vuonna oon ainakin yrittänyt pitää shoppailut aika minimissä, niin vaate- kuin kosmetiikkapuolellakin. Kesän alennusmyynneissäkään en oikeastaan ole edes käynyt, vaikka kirkkaat aleprosenttitaulut kieltämättä houkuttelevatkin. Ihan totaalista shoppailulakkoa en kuitenkaan ole pitänyt (eikä se toisaalta kyllä ole missään vaiheessa ollut tarkoituksenakaan) ja muutamia juttuja on päätynyt kassan kautta kotiin, suurimmaksi osaksi kuitenkin ihan tarpeeseen ;) Nyt siis pienimuotoinen haul loppukevään ja tämän kesän aikana hankkimistani kosmetiikkatuotteista! 

This year I've at least tried to keep my shopping to the minimum, both with fashion as well as beauty. I haven't even been shopping at the huge summer sales this year, although the bright sale billboards are quite tempting. But I haven't had a total shopping ban either (and it never was my intention to be honest) and I've taken a few things to the cash register, most of the items purchased for a true need ;) So here is a little haul of the beauty items I've bought at the end of the spring and during this summer! 

L'oréal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

Todella moni meikkibrändi on nyt viimeisimmän vuoden sisällä tuonut markkinoille oman versionsa tyynymäisestä meikkivoiteesta Lancômen aloitettua buumin omalla Miracle Cushion -meikkivoiteellaan. Mun budjetti ei kuitenkaan anna periksi Lancômelle, mutta koska tyynymäistä meikkivoidetta oli ihan pakko päästä kokeilemaan, hankin tämän paljon kehutun L'orealin version trendimeikkivoiteesta. Peittävyys ei Nude Magique Cushion -meikkivoiteessa ole sieltä parhaimmasta päästä, mutta toisaalta ainakin mulle riittää näin kesäisin vähän kevyempikin peittävyys. Tää onkin mun mielestä nimenomaan ihan loistava kesämeikkivoide, sillä tää on superhelppo ja nopea levittää ja lopputulos on kevyt, luonnollinen ja hehkuva. 

So many make up brands have brought out their own version of a cushion foundation ever since Lancôme was probably the one to start the hype with its Miracle Cushion foundation. My budget is a bit too tight for the Lancôme one, but as I just had to try a cushion foundation I purchased this L'oréal version of the trendy foundation, which has also gotten a lot of good reviews. The coverage of the Nude Magique Cushion foundation isn't exactly the fullest, but then again at least I can get away with a bit of a lighter coverage during summertime. Therefore I think this is a great summer foundation, as Nude Magique Cushion is super easy and quick to apply, and the result is light, natural and glowy. 

Madara Nokkonen Daily Defence Mist 

Madaran ja Noora Shinglerin yhteistyössä kehittämä nokkossuihke toimittaa tällä hetkellä kasvoveden virkaa mun ihonhoitorutiinissani. Niin kuin pullon kyljessäkin lukee, tää Madaran nokkossuihke nimenomaan kosteuttaa ja rauhoittaa ihoa, mikä mun kohdalla tarkoittaa erityisesti kasvojen punoituksen hillitsemistä. Suihkeen sisältämä nokkosuute huolehtii rauhoittamisesta, kun taas aloe vera hoitaa kosteutuksen ja pehmentää. Tää on myös yksi lisäys sarjaani "tuotteet, jotka tuoksuvat ihanalta!"

The nettle mist, developed by Madara together with Noora Shingler, is currently used as a toner in my skincare routine. The Nettle Daily Defense mist hydrates and soothes the skin, which for myself means especially controlling the redness of my face. The nettle extract in the mist takes care of the soothing part, whereas aloe vera does the moisturizing and softens the skin. This is also an addition to my series of 'products that smell amazing!'

Clinique Moisture Surge 

Nyt ihan viime aikoina oon huomanut ihoni vaativan huomattavasti enemmän kosteutusta kuin aiemmin, ja siihen tarkoitukseen Cliniquen Moisture Surge -kosteusvoide on ollut ihan huippu. Moisture Surge todella kosteuttaa kuivemmankin ihon, mutta geelimäinen koostumus imeytyy yllättävän nopeasti ja silti tuntuu kuin kosteusvoide vain liukuisi iholle. Todella miellyttävä levittää siis! Tää on myös tehokas siinä mielessä, että jo pienelläkin määrällä saa kosteutettua koko kasvot. Ja hei miten söpö toi vaaleanpunainen väri onkaan? 

Recently I've found my skin needing a lot more moisturizing than it used to, and for that the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer is just the right product. Moisture Surge truly moisturizes even the driest of skins, but the gel like consistency absorbs surprisingly quickly and it feels like the moisturizer just glides onto the skin. A dream to apply I'd say! This is also efficient in the sense that even a fairly tiny amount is enough to moisturize my whole face. And hey, how cute is that pink colour? 

Cutrin Moisture ISM Hydrating Care Spray + Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Day Cream

Näistä molemmista kirjoittelinkin jo aiemmin aurinkosuojapostauksessa, mutta kertauksena pähkinänkuoressa: Cutrinilla helpompaa harjattavuutta ja UV-suojaa tukalle, Lumenella heleyttä ja aurinkosuojaa kasvoille. 

I already wrote about these two products in the sun protection post, but as a recap in a nutshell: Cutrin to make my hair easier to detangle and protect my hair from the UV-rays, Lumene for brightening my face and protecting it from the sun. 

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: Stockholm

Vaikka multa löytyy pari NYX:in tuotetta jo ennestään niin vasta alkuviikosta ostin ensimmäisen huulimeikkituotteen kyseiseltä brändiltä, mikä toisaalta ihmetyttää vähän myös mua itseäni, sillä nimenomaan NYX:in huulimeikkejä kehutaan maasta taivaisiin. Kaupasta lähti mukaan Soft Matte Lip Cream sävyssä Stockholm, jota on nyt viikolla tullut käytettyä ahkerasti. Hieman ruosteeseen taittava nudesävy muistuttaa jonkin verran MAC:in Velvet Teddyä ja tuotteen nimi kuvaa koostumusta kyllä ihan täydellisesti. Soft Matte Lip Cream tuntuu nimenomaan pehmeältä ja kermaiselta, mutta kuivuu nopeasti ja jättää huulet mattapintaisiksi. Näitä (ja muitakin NYX:in huulimeikkejä) on pakko saada lisää! 

Even though I already had a couple of NYX products before, it was only at the start of this week that I bought my first ever lip product from the brand. I find this to be quite shocking too, as it's precisely the NYX lip products that people absolutely rave about. I left the store with a Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Stockholm in my bag, and it's been in a frequent use this week. The slightly rusty nude shade reminds me actually a bit of the MAC Velvet Teddy, and the name of the product couldn't be any more descriptive of the consistency. Soft Matte Lip Cream feels soft and creamy when applying but dries quickly to leave a matte finish to the lips. I just have to get more of these (and other NYX lip products as well)!
