Cashmere & Denim

Last Saturday when visiting Porvoo I once again ended up wearing this tried and trusted winter outfit, i.e. jeans, a knitted sweater and a camel coat. This is literally an outfit that I'll probably never get tired of! By wearing a different pair of jeans, a different sweater or different accessories the jeans and sweater combo is easy to modify, and usually when the notorious outfit crisis hits me I end up putting on some kind of a sweater and jeans combination. A sweater and leather trousers combo is at least just as good of an outfit too though. This autumn one of my favourite versions of this outfit was to wear a pair of white jeans and a white jumper underneath the camel coat, as it just looked so nice and fresh in the autumn gloom, and also brought something kind of new and different to my everyday style when I didn't constantly opt for the dark hues. It's a shame that there's no pictures of that outfit.

It was only here in Finland that I realised that I hadn't packed a single 'everyday' bag with me, so for these weeks that I'm going to spend here I've snatched Mum's Longchamp. Kind of a new bag definitely freshens up mind as well as the look, especially now that alongside the common cold I've also been hit by quite a bag fever. I should probably unsubscribe from the mailing lists of Net-a-Porter and Vestiaire Collective so new temptations would't land in my inbox every single morning.

What do you think of my signature winter outfit? And is there anyone else that's been hit by a bag fever, and if so then which bag are you currently dreaming of?

  3. I pretty much wear this kind of outfit everyday to uni. Camel coat and burgundy scarf - love! I'm always stuck for what shoes will go though- black boots are a great idea. I've been coveting a Ted Baker bag for as long as I can remember but I can't justify the price. I also think the thought of something & searching for the perfect one is sometimes better than actually getting it. I'd love a navy, medium sized one with rose gold hardware.

    1. This is pretty much my go-to uni outfit too, never fails! And very good point about the bag searching, haven't thought about it that way ever before but that's actually exactly how it is - the fun is all in the searching part! xx
