Kuten otsikosta ja kuvistakin voi jo päätellä, vaatekaapissa on nyt jotain uutta, ihanaa ja jo reippaasti yli vuoden päivät himotuslistalla ollutta: Cult Gaian Gaia's Ark Mini Clutch. Cult Gaian laukkujen perään on tosiaan tullut haaveiltua jo pitkään ja tämä ostopäätöskin on hautunut mielessä jo useamman kuukauden ajan, eikä kyseessä siis todella ollut mikään heräteostos. Nyt kuitenkin koin hetken oikeaksi ja kun sähköpostissa vieläpä odotteli 15%-alennuskoodi Shopbopille, päätin vihdoin klikata tän trendikkään bambulaukun ostoskoriin.
As you can already tell by the title and photos of this post, I've now got something new and lovely that's been on my wishlist for way over a year in my wardrobe: Cult Gaia Gaia's Ark Mini Clutch. I've been drooling over Cult Gaia bags for a long long time already and been thinking about getting one for myself for quite a while now, so this definitely wasn't an impulse buy. However, it was now that I felt the timing and situation was right for me to finally click the trendy bamboo bag into my shopping basket, especially since I had a -15% Shopbop discount code waiting to be used in my inbox.

Cult Gaian Ark -laukkuja löytyy neljässä eri koossa (mini, small, large ja x-large), kahdessa eri materiaalissa (bambu ja akryyli), sekä monessa monessa eri värivaihtoehdossa. Omani on tosiaan mini-kokoinen, bambua ja väriltään natural. Hieman aluksi mietin, että onko mini jo liian mini, mutta ilokseni myös kaikkein pienin koko on yllättävänkin tilava. Oon nyt viime aikoina muutenkin innostunut käyttämään pienempiä laukkuja mutta melkeinpä kaikki muut pienet laukkuni on mustia, eli tällainen söpö kesäkassi tuo myös kivaa vaihtelua mun laukkuvalikoimaan.
Cult Gaia Ark handbags come in four different sizes (mini, small, large and x-large), two material variations (bamboo and acrylic), and in a lot of different colour options. As I mentioned, mine is the mini sized bamboo version in a natural colour. At first I was a bit worried that the mini would be too mini, but even the smallest size is actually surprisingly spacious. I've been more into smaller bags lately anyway, but pretty much all of my other small bags are black so this cute summer bag also adds some nice variation to my handbag selection.
Tein tilauksen tosiaan Shopbopille, ja tää olikin ensimmäinen kerta kun kyseisestä nettikaupasta mitään tilasin. Shopbopilla on ilmainen express international delivery ja ilmaiset palautukset, ja kun rekisteröidyin sivuille jo muutama viikko sitten pamahti sähköpostiin tosiaan 15%:n alennuskoodi tervetuliaisiksi. Tämä siis vinkkinä, jos joku muukin siellä mietiskelee jonkin designer-ostoksen tekemistä, sillä ainakin omalla kohdallani nämä kaksi asiaa vaikutti tosi paljon ostopäätöksen tekemiseen! Tein tilauksen lauantai-iltana ja seuraavana perjantai-iltana oli DHL:n mies ovella paketin kanssa, mikä on mielestäni todella nopea toimitus varsinkin kun Cult Gaian laukut lähetetään jenkeistä. Jenkeistä lähettämisen takia jouduin maksamaan vielä tullit päälle, mutta sekin hoitui itse asiassa yllättävän helposti ja mutkattomasti itse netin kautta! Tullimaksuja tuli maksettavaksi noin 20€ ja päätin tosiaan tehdä tullauksen itse, vaikka Shopbopilla olisi voinut toimituksen yhteydessä valita myös tullauksen tehtäväksi heidän puolestaan. Omiin kokemuksiini perustuen voin ehdottomasti suositella Shopbopilta tilaamista, sillä koko prosessi oli jotenkin todella helppo, nopea ja mutkaton.
I ordered mine from Shopbop, and this was actually the first time I've ever ordered anything from the said webshop. Shopbop has free express international delivery and free returns, and when registering to the site a few weeks ago I was given a -15% discount code as a nice little welcome. Tip for any of you who might be considering making a designer purchase of some kind soon, since these two factors majorly influenced my purchase decision! I placed the order on Saturday night and the DHL guy ringed the doorbell with my parcel the following Friday, which in my opinion is a really quick delivery time considering Cult Gaia bags are shipped from the US. And because they're being shipped from the States I also had to pay tariffs, but it was actually a surprisingly easy and smooth thing to do online by myself. The amount I had to pay was around 20€ which comes to about £18. However, Shopbop does also give you the option to pay the import duties when placing the order if you don't want to do it yourself afterwards. Based on my own experiences with Shopbop, I can definitely recommend ordering through them, as the whole process was somehow just so easy, quick and fuss-free.
