Nahkatakkikelit on saapuneet Glasgow'hun! Viime päivinä ilmassa on todella ollut kevättä ja lämpötilat on olleet yllättävän korkealla, mikä on sallinut nahkatakkien kaivamisen kaapista talven jälkeen. Ei todellakaan mitenkään normaalia että helmikuussa lämpömittari on näyttänyt parhaimmillaan 16 astetta, mutta valehtelisin jos väittäisin etteikö tämä lämpö olisi tuntunut aika ihanalta.
The leather jacket weather has arrived to Glasgow! These past few days you've really been able to feel the spring in the air and the temperatures have been surprisingly high, which has meant that it's finally been possible to get the leather jackets out again. It's definitely not normal for the temperatures to rise to up to 16 degrees celsius in February, but I'd be lying if I said that this sudden warmth hadn't been quite nice for a change.
Nahkatakki päällä mulla on aina jotenkin paljon coolimpi, edgympi ja rokimpi fiilis kuin mitä ihan oikeasti olen, ja ihan erityisesti vielä jos nahkatakki on yhdistetty muutenkin tällaiseen tummanpuhuvaan asuun. Mulla on muuten selkeästi menossa joku monokromaattisten asujen vaihe, oli kyseessä sitten musta, valkoinen tai beige on nimenomaan jonkun yhden värin hieman eri sävyistä ja vivahteista koostuvat lookit niitä jotka iskee muhun tällä hetkellä kaikkein eniten. Samalla myös todella helppoa ja aamuja nopeuttavaa pukeutumista kun ei tarvitse miettiä että miltä jotkut värit tai kuosit näyttää yhdessä, sen kuin vaan vetää päälle samaa väriä hieman eri sävyissä niin hyvä tulee! Monokromaattiset, yhdestä väristä koostuvat lookit on muutenkin yksi kevään isoja trendejä, ja varsinkin ne beigeistä ja nudeista sävyistä koostuvat asukokonaisuudet tulee olemaan todella pinnalla.
Whenever I'm wearing a leather jacket I always feel a lot more cool, edgy and rock than I actually am, and especially when the leather jacket is part of an otherwise dark hued outfit. It also seems that I'm going through some kind of a monochrome outfits phase, since no matter whether it's black, white or beige, it's exactly those looks that combine different hues from the same colour that I'm drawn into the most right now. It's also a very easy and quick way to get dressed in the morning when you don't have to worry about clashing colours or prints. Just put on items from the same colour sphere and you're good to go! Monochrome looks are also one of the big trends for the spring season, and especially the beige and nude toned ones are going to be really in this season.

Loppuun muuten vielä hauska fakta näiden kuvien takaa. Meillä oli ystäväni kanssa molemmilla mustat nahkatakit, ja ulos lähtiessä vedin päälleni sen kummemmin miettimättä toisen takeista. Vasta pari päivää myöhemmin kävi ilmi että olinkin laittanut päälleni ystäväni takin, enkä ollut itse huomannut koko asiaa. Näissäkin kuvissa päällä on siis Marian takki ja oletan täysin että se on omani. Olin laittamassa Marian takkia päälleni vielä toisenkin kerran samana päivänä ja ihmettelin kun taskusta ei löytynytkään junalippua jonka luulin sinne laittaneeni. Noh, pääasia että molemmilla oli takit päällä ja mun junalippukin löytyi sieltä ihan oikeasti mun oman nahkatakin taskusta.
Ending the post with a funny story behind these photos. My friend and I were both wearing black leather jackets, and when leaving the house I just pulled on one without paying that much attention to it. And it was only a couple of days later when my friend told me that I had actually been wearing her jacket without ever even realising it myself. So in these photos I'm actually wearing Maria's jacket and totally thinking that it is mine. I was putting on Maria's jacket later on that day too and was confused because I couldn't find my train ticket in the pocket. Oh well, the main thing is that we both had jackets to wear and my train ticket was where it was supposed to be: in the pocket of my own jacket.
