Chambray Dress

Nämä asukuvat otettiin jo muutama viikko sitten, mutta jostain syystä ne ovat jääneet vain luonnoksiin lojumaan. Farkkumekkoja on tänä kesänä näkynyt vähän joka puolella ja itsekin ihastuin kovasti tähän mekkotrendiin. Mainitsin äidilleni, että haluaisin täksi kesäksi itselleni farkkumekon, ja kuinka ollakaan äidiltä sattui kaapista löytymään mekko, jota hän ei käytä! Niinpä mä sitten otin mekon omaan kaappiini. Näiden kylmien säiden takia mekko on tosin ollut päällä vain tämän yhden kerran, mutta toivon että käyttökertoja kertyisi tänä kesänä hieman enemmänkin. Mekkoja ei mun päällä yleensä arkisin kauheasti näy, mutta tästä tykkään ihan hirmu paljon! Tää on sopivan rento arkikäyttöön, mutta näyttää silti siistiltä.

// These outfit pictures were taken a few weeks ago, but for some reason they have just been lying around in my drafts. Denim dresses have been everywhere this summer and I've been really into this trend too. I mentioned to my mum that I want a denim dress for this summer and she happened to have one in her closet that she doesn't use! So I took the dress into my own closet. Because of this cold weather I've only worn this dress this one time, but I'm hoping for the weather to finally warm up so I can use this more often. Usually I don't wear dresses unless it's a party, but I really like this one! This is casual enough to wear on weekdays but still looks clean.

Tallinn snapshots

Eilen lähdettiin perheen kanssa viettämään päivää Tallinnassa. Kello soi aamulla 5:45 ja käveltyä tuli päivän aikana paljon, joten meno oli välillä vähän väsynyttä, mutta meillä oli kivaa siitä huolimatta. Ei tehty oikeastaan mitään erikoista, pyörittiin kaupoilla ja vanhassa kaupungissa ja käytiin syömässä. Itselleni reissu tuli melko halvaksi, sillä kaupoista ei löytynyt muuta kuin How to be Parisian -kirja ja laivalta ostin vielä kulmavahan kun vanha alkoi jo vedellä viimeisiään. Puhuttiin kyllä äidin kanssa, että ensi kerralla täytyy varata vaikkapa hieronta tai kasvohoito tai jotakin, jotta saa aikaa kulumaan, sillä loppujen lopuksi meillä kävin aika ehkä hieman pitkäksi. Kauppojen tarjonta oli mulle vähän pettymys, en tosiaan löytänyt mitään ostamisen arvoista. Innolla odotin päästä katsomaan mitä River Islandista löytyisi, mutta sieltäkin poistuin sitten tyhjin käsin. Luulen, että kauppojen huono valikoima johtui osin siitä, että aletuotteista on enää jämät jäljellä ja syysvaatteet eivät ole vielä saapuneet. Mutta säästyipähän ainakin rahaa Kööpenhaminan reissuun ;)

// Yesterday I spent the day in Tallinn with my family. The alarm went off 5:45am and we walked quite a lot during the day, so we were pretty tired but had fun nevertheless. We didn't do anything special, just wandered around in shops and the old town and had lunch. The trip turned out to be a quite cheap for me, as the only things I bought were How to be Parisian and brow wax. But my mum and I decided that next time we'll book massages or facials or something to kill some time, because we got a little bored towards the end. I was quite disappointed with what the clothing shops had to offer, and as I said I didn't find anything worth purchasing. I was really looking forward to see River Island's collection but left the store empty-handed. I think it's partly because the season is about to change and sale items have only the remains left and autumn collections haven't arrived yet. But at least now I have more money to spend in Copenhagen ;)

Wishes

Mun toive-/ostoslista täydentyy aina sitä mukaa kun saan uusia juttuja hankittua, mutta eikös se niin mene vähän kaikilla? ;) Tällä hetkellä lista ei ole kovin pitkä, mutta listalla olevat jutut ovatkin sitten sellaisia, jotka ovat pyörineet mielessä jo jonkin aikaa.

Mulla ei ole tällä hetkellä ollenkaan matalia sandaaleja, ja koska uskon, että ne hellekelit saapuvat vielä tämän kesän aikana Suomeenkin, on hankintalistalla jotkut kivat sandaalit. Birkenstockeille en lämpene vieläkään, vaan etsinnässä on vähän sirommat kesäkengät. 

Syksyksi mun on ehdottomasti saatava tekonahkahousut. Mulla on "nahkaleggingsit", joista tykkään kyllä paljon, mutta ne kun eivät tietenkään sovi ihan kaiken kanssa. Syksyä varten on siis hankittava tekonahkahousut, joissa on kunnon taskut ja vetskarit ja kaikki, jotta niitä voi pitää lyhyempienkin paitojen kanssa. 

Anastasia Beverly Hillsin Contour Kit olisi ihana lisä meikkikokoelmaan, sillä olen viime aikoina innostunut kasvojen varjostamisesta, mutta en tiedä raaskinko oikeasti koskaan laittaa montaa kymppiä tähän palettiin kun halvemmallakin saa hyviä tuotteita. Tästä olen kuitenkin kuullut niin paljon kehuja, että houkutus kokeilla on suuri. 

The Balmin Mary-Lou Manizer on tuote, josta olen myös kuullut pelkkää hyvää. Monet kehuvat tätä parhaaksi korostuspuuteriksi, joten totta kai mäkin haluan kokeilla!  Tää on myös hinnaltaan ihan realistinen, joten voi hyvinkin olla, että tulen tämän vielä hankkimaan. 

Mulla on ollut Moroccanoilista vain pieniä testeripulloja, mutta koska se on ehdottomasti paras koskaan kokeilemani hiusöljy, houkuttelee kunnon pullon ostaminen kovasti. Moroccanoil tekee munkin kuivista hiuksista ihan unelmapehmeät ja kiiltävät, mihin ei monet muut hiusöljyt pysty. Hinta kyllä vähän kirpaisee, mutta toisaalta öljy todella on hintansa väärti.

I don't own any flat sandals at the moment and because I believe the warm weather will come to Finland this summer I need new sandals. I'm still not into Birkenstocks, but I'd like to get a pair of nice more delicate pair of sandals. 

For the coming fall I definitely need to get faux leather pants. I have "leather" leggings, which I really like, but obviously I can't wear them with everything. So I need to get a pair of proper leather trousers with pockets and zipper so I can wear them with shorter shirts too. 

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kits would be a lovely add-on to my make up collection, as I've been really into contouring recently. But I don't know do I dare to spend so much money on this palette when you can get nice products for a lot cheaper too. But this is really tempting me as I've heard so many good things about this. 

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is also a product of which I've heard only good reviews. Many people say that this is the best highlighter ever, so of course I want to try it too! This has also a realistic price so I might purchase this sometime in the near future.

I've only had mini sample bottles of Moroccanoil but because it is the best hair oil I've ever tried I'm really tempted to buy the full size bottle. Moroccanoil makes even my dry hair so soft and shiny, which is something other oils don't do that well. The price is quite high for me, but then again this really is worth the money. 

My mascara collection

Rakastan meikkejä, mutta mun suurin heikkous on ehdottomasti ripsivärit. Jos saisin valita vain yhden meikkituotteen, jota käyttäisin koko loppuelämäni, olisi se ehdottomasti ripsiväri. Sillä saa jo yksinään niin paljon aikaan, ja olo on heti paljon laittautuneempi, kun on levittänyt vähän väriä ripsiin. Jotenkin katseesta tulee heti paljon skarpimman näköinen ja silmät korostuvat kauniisti. Mulla on vuosien aikana ollut monia erilaisia ripsivärejä, enkä olekaan tainnut ostaa samaa ripsaria kahteen kertaan, sillä haluan aina kokeilla jotakin uutta. Poikkeuksen tosin tekee Benefitin They're Real, josta mulla on nyt toinen kappale käytössä. Tässä siis ripsivärit, jotka mun kokoelmasta löytyy tällä hetkellä!

Näistä kaikista mun lemppari on Benefitin They're Real, se vaan yksinkertaisesti tekee ripsille ihmeitä! Tykkään paljon myös Maybellinen Great Lashista ja se onkin hinta-laatusuhteeltaan ihan mieletön, sillä hinta pyörii kympin paikkeilla. Mikä on teidän lemppariripsari? Navy & white

Tällaisessa asussa lähdin sunnuntaina kirpputorille Pilvin ja Mian kanssa. Valkoiset farkut tuntuivat hyvältä valinnalta aamulla, mutta kun päästiin Helsinkiin taivas repesi ja farkut osoittautuivat lopulta ei niin hyväksi valinnaksi. Onneksi pesukone pesee :) Gapin neule oli ihan mieletön löytö Jenkeistä liikkeen outletmyymälästä. Alkuperäinen hinta taisi olla siinä neljänkymmenen dollarin suunnilla, mutta itse maksoin neuleesta vain viisitoista dollaria. Olin jo pidemmän aikaa ihaillut ton tyylisiä neuleita, joten olin ihan superonnellinen kun löysin laadukkaan yksilön noin halvalla. Sekä farkut että neule kuuluvat tällä hetkellä mun suosikkivaatteisiin, joten ei ihme että tykkäsin tästä asustakin todella paljon. Jotenkin valkoinen ja tummansininen miellyttää mun silmää, etenkin näin kesällä. 

// This is the outfit I was wearing on Sunday when I went to the flea market with Pilvi and Mia. White jeans felt like a good choice in the morning, but when we got to Helsinki it started raining and eventually the jeans were not so good choice. Luckily washing machine washes :) This sweater by Gap was an absolute bargain from the Gap outlet store in the USA. The price was originally something around forty dollars but I paid just fifteen. I had been eyeing sweaters like this for quite a long time so of course I was super happy when I found a quality one for so cheap. Both the jeans and the sweater are part of my favorite clothes at the moment, so no wonder that I really liked this outfit too. Somehow I find the combination of white and navy very pleasing to my eye, especially during summer.
