Rakastan uusien ihanien ja mielenkiintoisten muotibrändien löytämistä, olipa kyseessä sitten vaatteet, laukut, korut, kengät tai muut asusteet. Omaan bränditutkaani onkin hiljattain tullut taas muutamia uusia merkkejä, erityisesti korupuolella. Ja mikä ehkä kaikkein hienointa, brändit ovat vieläpä suomalaisia ja huomioivat myös ympäristön. Tässä siis esittelyyn kolme viimeaikaista korubrändilöytöä!
I love finding new interesting fashion brands, whether that's about clothing, bags, jewellery, shoes or other accessories. And recently a few new brands have made their way into my radar, especially on the jewellery front. And what's probably the greatest thing about them is that they're Finnish and also consider the environmental aspects. So here we go, three new Finnish jewellery brands that have recently come into my radar!
Upcycle with Jing
Törmäsin Upcycle with Jing -brändiin ensin Instagramissa, sitten Trendi-lehden sivulla ja pian sen jälkeen Jing itse asiassa laittoikin mulle viestiä ja kysyi haluaisinko joitakin hänen korujaan kokeiluun. Vastasin myöntävästi, sillä Jingin korut ovat mielettömän kauniita ja hän valmistaa ne itse käsityönä Helsingissä kerätyistä muovipulloista. Upcycle with Jing valikoimassa on muun muassa korvakoruja, kaulakoruja, hiuspinnejä ja rintaneuloja, jotka sopivat loistavasti tuomaan hieman juhlavuutta arkisiin asuihin, tai kauniina yksityiskohtina juhlalookeissa. Jing myös lahjoittaa 7% verkkokaupan myynneistä Project Greenhands -hankkeelle.
I first came across Upcycle with Jing on Instagram, then on the pages of the fashion magazine Trendi, and soon after that Jing messaged me to ask whether I'd like to receive some of her gorgeous pieces to try. Obviously I said yes, as Jing's jewellery is absolutely beautiful and she makes them all by herself from plastic bottles collected in Helsinki. Upcycle with Jing products include e.g. earrings, necklaces, hair pins and brooches, which are all great pieces to bring a little bit of sparkle into your everyday look or as beautiful details in more festive occasions. Jing also donates 7% of sales into Project Greenhands.

Guardian of the Ocean
Guardian of the Ocean on hyvää tekevä kulta- ja hopeakoruja valmistava brändi. Merkillä on kaksi eri mallistoa, nimikkomallisto Guardian of the Ocean sekä Guardian of the Baltic Sea. Kuten nimestäkin voi päätellä, vesistöjen suojelu on brändille tärkeä arvo ja se lahjoittaa jokaisesta myydystä korusta 20 dollaria (Guardian of the Ocean) tai 20€ (Guardian of the Baltic Sea) Ocean Unite -hyväntekeväisyysjärjestölle. Brändin kauniit korut saavat inspiraationsa luonnosta, ne valmistetaan kierrätysmetalleista ja taotaan käsin Espoossa.
Guardian of the Ocean is a brand who makes gold and silver jewellery that also does good for the environment. The brand has two collections, the namesake Guardian of the Ocean as well as Guardian of the Baltic Sea. As the name suggests, the brand is an advocate for protecting the oceans, and from each piece they sell 20 dollars (Guardian of the Ocean collection) or 20 euros (Guardian of the Baltic Sea collection) is donated to the charity Ocean Unite. The beautiful pieces draw inspiration from nature and they're handmade in Espoo from recycled metals.
Karaat Jewellery
Karaat Jewellery on niinikään löytö Instagramista (törmääkö kukaan muka enää uusiin brändeihin muualla kuin somessa?). Karaat valmistaa korkealaatuisia timanttikoruja, joiden hinta on edullisempi kuin timanttikoruilla yleensä sillä timantit valmistetaan laboratoriossa. Lisäksi korut toimitetaan ostajalle suoraan valmistajilta ilman turhia tuotantoketjun välikäsiä. Karaatin yksinkertaisen kauniit ja ajattomat korut suunnitellaan Suomessa ja valmistetaan käsin Italiassa 18 karaatin kullasta.
Karaat Jewellery is another find from Instagram (to be honest, does anyone actually come across new brands somewhere else than on social media anymore?). Karaat produces high quality diamond jewellery that is more affordable than diamond jewellery usually is as the diamonds are made in laboratories. Alongside that, the pieces are delivered to customers directly from the manufacturer which further brings the price point down as the supply chain is shorter. The gorgeous, simple and timeless Karaat jewellery is designed in Finland and handcrafted in Italy using 18K gold.
