And so the last month of the year is here! I hope you all had a lovely start to your December yesterday. Mine started with a yoga class in the morning, followed by an afternoon in the uni library, and finally finishing off the day and weekend with the last episode if The Crown in bed accompanied by my first mince pie of the season. Quite a good combo to start the last month of the year with, if you ask me! Let's start December here on the blog with a little look to my December outfit archives though, and there definitely is all different kinds of looks again. Do you remember any of these, or which one is your favourite?
Näyttääpä kovin syksyiseltä maisemalta ja asulta joulukuuksi! Mitä taas asuun tulee, on tässä paljon niitä mulle tyypillisiä elementtejä ja itse asiassa neule ja takki löytyy vaatekaapista edelleen! Neule on jäänyt viime aikoina vähemmälle käytölle, mutta täytyykin kaivaa se taas esiin. H&M:n tekonahkatakki puolestaan näkyi viimeksi tässä asussa, joka on yksi mun tän syksyn suosikkeja. Kengät ja laukku oli pitkään suosikkeja, mutta ne olen pistänyt kummatkin jo eteenpäin.
The scenery looks really autumnal here considering it's December! But what comes to the outfit, it features a lot of my basic elements and actually I've still for the jumper and jacket in my wardrobe! I have't been wearing the jumper that much lately though, but I need to get it out again. The H&M faux leather jacket on the other hand has been used frequently, and made an appearance earlier this autumn in this outfit, which is actually one of my favourite ones from these past few months. The shoes and the bag were some of my favourite items for a long time, but I've passed them on long ago already.
Kaksi sanaa: takki päälle! No joo, tässä oli tietysti tarkoituksena esitellä asua joka mulla oli päällä kun juhlittiin isäni MBA-valmistumista perhe- ja ystäväpiirissä. Asussa ei sinänsä ole mitään vikaa, mutta olisit nyt sentään laittanut matalammat ja paremmin istuvat kengät jalkaan. Ja kyllä se kuvakin näyttäisi huomattavasti paremmalta, jos se takki tosiaan olisi päällä myös...
Four words: put a coat on! Well yeah, the point here was to show the outfit I wore to my dad's MBA graduation party. There's technically nothing wrong with the outfit, I just wished I had worn a lower heeled and a better fitting shoe. And the photo would certainly look better with that jacket or coat on too...
Tämä taisi itse asiassa olla jouluaaton asu vuonna 2015! Pikkumusta nyt lähtökohtaisesti toimii aina ja pörrötakillakaan harvoin menee vikaan. Punaiset huuletkin tuo kivan jouluisen piristyksen muuten mustavalkoiseen lookiin. Mutta mitenkäs sitten noi kenkähirvitykset?! Tai hiukset?! Yritys ja lähtökohdat hyvä, lopputulos ei niinkään..
I think this was actually my Christmas Eve outfit in 2015! A little black dress is always a good choice and you rarely go wrong with a fuzzy faux fur jacket. And the red lip is a nice Christmassy add-on to the otherwise black and white look. But what about that horrible pair of shoes? Or my hair?! Ten points for effort, the execution just wasn't quite there...
Joulukuu 2016 ja taustalla ihana luminen ja tunnelmallinen Porvoo. Asussa taas mun suosikkijuttuja, mutta silti jokin tässä kokonaislookissa ei vaan natsaa. Ehkä jotenkin liikaa värejä, kun on siniset farkut, kamelitakki ja viininpunainen huivi? Tämän asun elementtejä käytän kyllä edelleen, mutta en toisiinsa yhdistettynä.
December 2016 and beautiful and snowy Porvoo as a backdrop. Again, the outfit features some of my favourite things but there's something that just isn't quite right in the overall look. Maybe there's a little bit too much going on when it comes to colours with the blue jeans, camel coloured coat and burgundy red scarf? These pieces are still in use separately, I just wouldn't combine them with each other anymore.
No nyt alkaa näyttää jo huomattavasti paremmalta! Tämä parin vuoden takainen ruutubleiserin, valkoisten farkkujen ja pehmeän teddy-takin yhdistelmä iskee edelleen. Täytyykin vetää jotain samantapaista päälle taas pian, näyttää nimittäin jotenkin ihanan freshiltä!
Well now things are starting to look considerably better! This outfit combination of a check blazer, white jeans and a soft teddy coat from a couple of years ago still looks really good in my opinion. I'll definitely have to wear something similar again, as I love how fresh this outfit looks!
Ja viimeisenä vielä tietysti asu vuoden takaa joulukuulta! Kerroksia, lämpimiä neutraaleja sävyjä, pehmeitä materiaaleja, mukavuutta... Mun talvipukeutumisen peruspilareita parhaimmillaan. Tässä asussa voisin nähdä itseni myös tänä talvena, eikä tällä kertaa tarvitsisi edes lainata pipoa pikkusiskolta kun kaapista löytyy vihdoin omakin :D
And lastly of course a December outfit from last year! Layers, warm neutral tones, soft materials, comfiness... My winter fashion basics at their best. I could definitely see myself wearing this outfit again this winter, and this time I wouldn't even have to borrow my sister's beanie as I finally have my own :D
